Genji Monogatari Sen-nen-ki Genji — The Tale of Genji: A Millennium-Old Journal: Genji
Originally it was the anime adaptation of Waki Yamato’s Asakiyumemishi: The Tales of Genji which was a historical shoujo manga, from the folklore of the same novel piece from his descendants, but Dezaki wrote another but same manga version which is more direct in interpretation, so he decided to clearly redesign and have an impact to the original novel. Anime director Osamu Dezaki will debuting his own television anime version of a classic Japanese novel in January.
Tomoko Konparu from Nana and Nodame Cantabile from the same shoujo anime adapted series will do the scripts and Jirou Kouno of Black Jack The Movie which is made by Ozamu Tezuka will do the art directing, with Akio Sugino on the character designn Seiji Suzuki of music directing, comes a new manga adapted anime series Dezaki’s The Tales of Genji.
