Kodansha Publishing Company History’s Severe Loss

Kodansha or Kodansha Limited is the largest Japanese publisher, headquartered in Bunkyo, Tokyo which has experienced the company’s severe loss due to its dropping of some Advertising,  Magazines and Comics.

The said overall annual sales from December 2007 to November 2008 is about 135 Billion Yen, 6.4% of annual loss.

7.686 Billion Yen last year (2008) is said to be the total loss of the company comparing last year, and it is largest loss of the company’s history.
Kodansha publishes manga magazines Nakayoshi, Afternoon, Weekly Shonen Magazine, as well as more literary magazines such as Gunzō, Shūkan Gendai, and the Japanese dictionary Nihongo Daijiten.
