Dattebayo will Stop Subbing Naruto

Dattebayo fansub group will permanently stop fansubbing Naruto on January 15 because of the distribution of CR, Hulu and other website officially begin streaming latest episodes of the licensed anime series Naruto: Shippuden, and it will be free for one week.

Here’s a confusing pic

Interactii an alias from Dattebayo group said that they get about 450,000 from its first week.

Viz Media which is the official NA distributor of manga and anime series never stopped Dattebayo to fansub this series but from the group of Interactii said;

“But like any symbiosis, you have to know when its time to move on. That time has come. Viz and Crunchyroll have gotten their acts together and are trying something new, with one of the most popular shows in anime today. I, and the rest of the staff, know that if we continue to subtitle it, they will have to ask us to stop. That’s something they probably don’t want to have to do, because it will most likely make all of you very mad at them. That’s something they really don’t deserve.”

    Well I think they are too tired of Narutards shouting to them “SUB EPISODE ?? NOW!!”

    Hmm, too bad for this. Dattebayo was the greatest subber for the Naruto series since it’s first episode right?

    I hope some replacements will continue to pursue the effort giving subs for co-watcher.

    Um, I hope you realize that this is Dattebayo we’re talking about. They love pulling all sorts of ridiculous hoaxes to confuse the fans of the series they’re subbing. If I were you, I wouldn’t believe this story until it gets confirmed by somebody othen than themselves.

    They’ve announced that they’ve stopped several times. Could this be the time they are serious?

    @psgels
    This wouldn’t be a widely news if this is a hoax, and they confirmed it themselves if you clicked the source.

    If you’d actually read the post on the website you’d know it was pretty formal and in depth, and sounds a lot like their actually being serious. I think their serious this time, but i understand why you wouldn’t believe them,lol.No episode on the site this week when one aired so might be a troll after all.

    From the Bottom of everyones hearts, I believe we all need to thank Dattebayo for all their hard work. Its a shame that they wont be providing Naruto any longer. I think everyone knows that their hard work and dedication to bringing high quality video and subtitles has earned them the respect of Viz and introduced 100s of thousands of new viewers to the series. Not only did they sub for english, but also in french, portuguese, and hebrew for viewers to enjoy worldwide. I think I speak for everyone when I say “Thank You!” to the staff at Dattebayo. Much love and appreciation guys!

    Dattebayo did what they had to do to preserve their place in the fan subbing world. Making enemies with one of the largest distributors of Japanese media would only make things more complicated for the entirety of the freelance anime and manga community.
